Mission & Core Values

In 2016, The Parish Leadership Team completed a two-year study of the parish.  They conducted in-depth interviews of parish staff, ministries and organizations; surveyed parishioners; and reviewed organizational structures so to see what makes Saint Agnes a unique community. They provided feedback and recommendations for the parish as well as these statements to highlight their findings and to communicate how we work together all in service to Christ.

The Mission Statement defines what your parish strives to actually do and who we are as a parish family. Many define core values differently, but Saint Agnes intends for them to be the foundation on which we perform work and conduct ourselves. They support our mission, shape our culture, and reflect the goals of our ministries, groups and activities as a parish family.  We hope these items speak to you as well and that you find them true in all areas of parish life at Saint Agnes!

Parish Mission Statement

Called by our Lord Jesus Christ, and strengthened by His Word and Sacraments, we strive to be faithful missionary disciples in Jesus Christ, sharing His love with one another and all in need.

Core values

Communion: Uniting ourselves with Jesus and other baptized Christians in the Church, which has its source and summit in the Eucharist.

That they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.” (John 17:21)¨

Holiness: Embracing the “light, love and limitless possibility” communicated by the Holy Spirit and consecrating ourselves to doing God’s will by uniting ourselves to his son Jesus Christ.

Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:2)

Joy: Delighting in the peace that comes from knowing God’s love and manifesting His love to others in the hope of sharing in His glory.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

Service: Promoting the dignity of the human person by sharing our God-given time, talent and treasure with others.

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (1 Peter 4:10)
