Parishioners Donate 3,800 Pounds of Food to Madison County

Thanksgiving Collection Brings Joy to Many This Holiday Season

On the morning of Black Friday, parishioners John, Marian, John Jr. and Michael Corso drove 3,800 pounds of parish food donations (almost 2 tons!) to Madison County, VA.  Due to the overwhelming generosity of parishioners, a lot of folks will have food on their tables this holiday season.

The effort is an outgrowth of our long-standing partnership with Our Lady of the Blue Ridge and provides food for the parish and residents of the surrounding area in great need, particularly at this time of year.  Thanks to all who donated food, and a special thanks to the Cub Scouts for organizing and running the food collection.  A big thanks to John Corso and Coastal Sunbelt for donating the food boxes used to transport the donations and for once again delivering the donated food.
