Update from Father Saunders on the Construction Project

January 8, 2022

The Church is now under total construction!

Dear Parishioners,

Since this past Summer, Jackson & Whitener Contractors have been working on the church and the grade school.  To save money as well as achieve a mid-June completion date, we are going to move from the Church and have all Masses in the parish hall.  Since 300 people can sit in the hall according to fire regulations, this plan should work, given our attendance Mass counts from October.  If we need to add an extra Mass, we will do so.

We will keep the same schedule for Masses and Confessions.  Having the hour spacing between Masses will ensure less parking lot turmoil as well as ventilating the space.

The first step is the removal of the pews; if anyone is interested in having one or part of one, please contact Brian Sherry our facilities manager.  With the pews removed, the electricians can do the rewiring and the installation of the ceiling lights, the marble workers can begin work on the sanctuary and repair the terrazzo, and the carpenters can build the new choir area.

Thank you for your patience, support, and cooperation.  As we know, time flies, and before we realize it, June will be here, and we will be dedicating our newly renovated church.

May God bless you,

Father William P. Saunders
