The OMM keeps the church and school facilities in good repair, primarily performing maintenance tasks and other manual labor duties, while also coordinating the work of outside contractors, as needed. Must have extensive fix-it skills and experience with identifying problems or issues involving common building systems such as HVAC or plumbing. Position will also involve ordering supplies and materials, computerized record-keeping, and supervision of other employees or volunteers. The Business Manager provides administrative support to the Pastor in the areas of financial management and stewardship. Working closely with the Pastor, Finance Council and the school’s Principal, the Business Manager will have responsibility for all accounting and finances, including managing accounts payable and receivable, all aspects of financial reporting, parish and school advancement, monitoring internal financial controls, cash management, the annual budget process and all aspects of HR and payroll processing.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader and manager with excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skills. This self-starter, who takes quick initiative, will have the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks concurrently and to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts. We require a BS/BA in Accounting, Business, Finance or a closely related field; a minimum of five years’ experience in finance/accounting/business management; experience with QuickBooks, Excel and database management systems; and a minimum of three years’ supervisory experience and human resource responsibility. The candidate must be a Catholic in good standing with the Church who has demonstrated strengths in leadership, teamwork, decision-making, and knowledge of financial and personnel management.
