Restoring Our Legacy: A Shining City on a Hill THE CAMPAIGN FOR ST. AGNES

Due to the generosity of parishioners, we have exceeded our minimum $5 Million goal for the campaign, with current pledges totaling $5,153,288!  Father Frederick Edlefsen, Pastor, is grateful to each and every donor and volunteer for their contributions of time, talent and treasure to this effort and to the parish overall. Thank you to our leadership team, Ambassador Robert Kimmitt, Honorary Co-Chair; Jim Pirozzoli, Co-Chair; and Sara Fagen, Co-Chair. See below for Father's thank you letter to parishioners and details of the Master Plan.

With the conclusion of the campaign in January 2019, efforts are under way to advance the progress of church, convent and school projects under the St. Agnes Master Plan. On February 19th, St. Agnes representatives met with the Diocese of Arlington Building Commission to brief the commission on the next steps in the process. Pending authorization, St. Agnes will proceed with the next phases of design work. Additionally, in late February, Roger Naill, Chair of the Capital Campaign's Continuation Committee, held the committee’s first meeting to ensure a high level of pledge redemption moving forward.

If you have not yet made a contribution, please consider doing so, as pledges are still needed to account for unforeseen costs. Gifts can be made over a period of 1-5 years or as a one-time contribution. You can make your payments or one-time gift by a check to St. Agnes Capital Campaign, through Faith Direct, transfer of assets, or an IRA or stock transfer. If you have any questions, call the Parish Office at 703-525-1166.

Check the first bulletin of the month or The Saint Agnes Signal, the parish's monthly eNewsletter, for updates on the progress of Master Plan projects.

Thank you for your generous, continued support of Our Lord's work here at St. Agnes!

Letter from Fr. Frederick Edlefsen, Pastor, to St. Agnes Parishioners (January 15, 2019)

Dear St. Agnes Parishioner -

I am happy to report that on Monday, January 14, 2019, we reached our $5 Million minimum goal for the capital campaign, Restoring Our Legacy: A Shining City on a Hill!

Congratulations and thank you for your selfless support of the Lord's work here at St. Agnes.  Due to the generosity of parishioners, we are now able to move forward with necessary renovations to our church, convent, and school.  I am confident that the entire St. Agnes community will benefit from the fruits of our work for generations to come, insofar as it's done humbly in the name and grace of Jesus Christ and his Mother.

I would like to ask anyone who has not yet made a gift to prayerfully consider doing so.  Every dollar raised over the minimum will help ensure we are able to best execute the plans we have for the parish.  If we go substantially beyond our goal, we will be able to take on more projects to ensure we don't have to do another campaign in the near future.

Pledges can be made over a period of 1-5 years or as a one-time contribution.  Payments or one-time gifts can be made by a check to St. Agnes Capital Campaign, through Faith Direct, transfer of assets, or an IRA or stock transfer.

Thank you for your contributions.  "May the favor of the Lord our God be ours.  Prosper the work of our hands!" (Psalms 90:17).

Sincerely yours, in Christ and his Mother,

Fr. Frederick Edlefsen, Pastor
