Scouts to Dispose of Blessed Palms and Flags

March 12, 2023

Disposal of Blessed Palms and U.S. Flags
Now through Thursday, March 30th
Old flags and blessed palms
may be left in the baskets by the church entrances.

Have you ever wondered what to do with your blessed palms after Palm Sunday? If you don’t wish to keep them, the proper answer is to dispose of them by burial or burning. Boy Scout Troop 111 is collecting blessed palms, along with old flags, now through Thursday, March 30th. Items may be placed in the baskets by each of the church entrances. The scouts will reverently burn them during a campfire ceremony at an upcoming campout.

Please contact Mark Allen with any questions at [email protected].
