Life is often complicated. We recognize that at Saint Agnes. Though normally the Sacraments are received at specific times in our lives (Baptism as a Baby, First Communion in grade school, Confirmation in middle school or later), occasionally life interrupts that program. Be it because of Military relocation in service to our country, a complicated patch of family life, or for any other reason, sometimes we miss out on receiving a Sacrament due to circumstance. We are able to fill that gap and reach out to those in complicated circumstances to bring them back to God’s grace through the Sacraments.
If you or your child is in 9th – 12th grade and has not yet received one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, or Confirmation) please contact Marie Macnamara in the Faith Formation Office at [email protected] for more information.
The grace of the Sacraments nourishes in us a strong and joyful faith, a faith that knows how to stand in wonder before the ‘marvels’ of God and how to resist the idols of the world. That is why it is important to take Communion, it is important that children be baptized early, that they be confirmed, because the Sacraments are the presence of Jesus Christ in us, a presence that helps us. – Pope Francis
