2018 Bishop’s Lenten Appeal

“Living in Faith~Giving in Gratitude”

By now, you should have received a mailing from Bishop Burbidge regarding the 2018 Bishop’s Lenten Appeal (BLA).  The theme, “Living in Faith~Giving in Gratitude,” is emblematic of the BLA’s support of a host of missions throughout the diocese – Religious Education, Youth Ministries, Catholic Schools and the work we at St. Agnes do in partnership with Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services and Christ House, to name a few.  Funds raised through this effort help thousands of people, some of whom may be sitting next to you at Mass each week.

Take a moment to watch the beautiful, short video below on Catholic Charities’ work which funds from the BLA go to support.

February 10th and February 11th are Commitment Weekend.  After reflecting upon the many blessings that God has given you, please prayerfully consider making a pledge to this important appeal.  Fr. Edlefsen has asked the parish for 100% participation this year, as the BLA requires financial support from every one of us, no matter how large or small, to be successful.  Together, let us renew our personal commitment to the Lord’s work in our diocese.
