2020-21 Religious Education Class Schedules
Grades 1-8: Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and Online
Kindergarten: St. Agnes will not offer Kindergarten class for the 2020/2021 school year.
We will start classes a little later this year, beginning on October 6. Please note that our ability to do so is dependent upon directives from the diocesan officials and the local government.
St. Agnes supports parents in offering instruction in the faith, including sacramental instruction.
Two options for classes: In-Person Class or Online. In-person RE classes will be offered on Tuesdays from 6:30pm – 7:45pm.
In-Person Class for grades 1-8: This option is available on a first come, first serve basis. The St. Agnes CCD program can only accommodate the same number of students as the St. Agnes School classrooms offer. Students in grades 1-8 will be enrolled in the” Faith and Life” online program through MYCATHOLICFAITHDELIVERED and will be expected to complete the year by May 25th, 2021. This interactive program includes readings, music, games, and activities, and will be taught in a reverse classroom method with the children having completed the chapter and homework before coming to class. Catechists will review the chapter as well as teach additional concepts and information.
Online for grades 1-8: Students in grades 1-8 will be enrolled in the “Faith and Life” online program through MYCATHOLICFAITHDELIVERED. These courses are asynchronous/self-paced; however, the students are expected to work on chapters weekly and to complete the year by June 30th, 2021. This interactive program includes readings, music, games, and activities. A catechist will be assigned to each grade to track assignments, communicate with students/parents, and assist remotely as needed. Classes led by a Catechist through Zoom are also available.
Email will be the primary means of communication throughout the year.
Tuition for both groups are the same.
$125 for one child
$165 for two children
$200 for three or more children
$50 additional fee for Out of Parish
There is no fee for children of Catechists.

First Confession and Holy Eucharist requirements
Because of the importance of the Sacraments and because we want our children to share that appreciation, we require TWO YEARS OF RELIGION CLASSES for first reception of the sacraments of Confession and Holy Eucharist.
Seventh grade students who are faithful in attending weekly classes and completing the course of studies are eligible to be candidates for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation at Saint Agnes is celebrated in the fall of ninth grade. Please contact the Faith Formation Office for more details. We require TWO YEARS OF RELIGION CLASSES, attending weekly, and completing a course of studies to be eligible to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
For children 14-17 years old who have missed the Sacraments of Penance, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation, please contact Marie Macnamara in the Faith Formation Office for details on preparation.
Home School Families Wishing to Receive the Sacraments
Saint Agnes fully supports our home schooling families and is happy to welcome them to receive the Sacraments at the appropirate age levels. Home school families are asked to contact the Director of Faith Formation at the beginning of the school year if your children will be receiving the sacraments with the parish class.
