Walking With Purpose starts September 30th and October 2nd!

Walking With Purpose is a Catholic women’s Bible Study, which takes timeless truths from Scripture and applies them to daily life. Autumn of 2025 marks the 11th season of Walking With Purpose at St. Agnes. We are so blessed to be meeting again this year with two different studies offered at two different times and locations.

Evening Sessions will be on Tuesdays starting September 30th at 7:30pm. We will meet downstairs in the school. We finish by 9:00 p.m.

Morning Sessions will be on Thursdays starting October 2nd at 9:45 a.m. We will meet in the Parish Hall. We typically finish by 11:15 a.m.

Women who have not participated in Walking With Purpose previously (even those with previous Bible Study experience) are encouraged to take the study Opening Your Heart, the foundational study. Women who have already taken it are also encouraged to take it again if they want a refresher! Returning participants may sign up for Discovering Our Dignity. More details on the studies can be found below.

Opening Your Heart will take you on an exciting journey closer to the heart of God, help you form a personal relationship with Christ, and help you find answers to life’s biggest questions through the context of the Catholic faith. This Bible study is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart, and we encourage all participants new to Walking with Purpose to begin here, regardless of previous experience with Bible study.

Women of the Old and New Testaments were as flawed and broken as we can be, yet the power of God worked in their lives. Discovering Our Dignity will allow you to learn from their experiences and uncover ways to deal with unwanted circumstances and deferred hopes. Through their stories recorded in Scripture, women of the Bible reach out to touch our “present” in a tender, honest and loving way–woman to woman–with ancient wisdom, sage advice, and insights from sorrowful failures and emotional wounds. In this Bible Study we will learn how God worked in the lives of sisters Leah and Rachel, helping them overcome jealousy as they learn how God offered all they really needed. We will see how Abigail persevered in her faith in spite of how unpleasant life was with her husband. We will learn about Deborah and the grace God gave her to be a prophet. And of course we will discuss how Mary the Blessed Mother’s “yes” to God – her fiat – changed everything. And many more women besides!
