What are the Sacraments?

When Jesus walked the face of the earth nearly 2,000 years ago, he possessed the power to save, heal, nourish, and strengthen people. These powers continue today in the Church by means of the seven (7) Sacraments, continuing Jesus’ saving work and ministry right here and now!

Each sacrament is an outward sign that actually conveys the grace (the gift of God) that it signifies… by means of outward symbols, God graciously and freely gives his divine life to anyone who wishes to embrace a relationship with Him.

These powerful Sacraments of the New Covenant are listed below.  Please click on any of these to learn more about them.

  1. Baptism
  2. Confirmation
  3. Eucharist
  4. Confession or Reconciliation
  5. Anointing of the Sick
  6. Holy Matrimony
  7. Holy Orders
